Deep Waters Reviews
EXCELLENT!
After being turned on to Dave Fisher’s album Sound Sleep, I naturally searched to see if he had published any more recordings. I came upon Deep Waters and ordered it immediately, based on my and others’ enthusiastic response to Sound Sleep. Not surprisingly, I was equally impressed with Deep Waters. This is not your typical new age/crystal bowls album. Nor is it one that appears good on the surface but fails to live up to its promises. Instead, Deep Waters is a powerful, scientifically founded album that actually induces your mind to enter a state of deep relaxation by modulating brainwave frequencies (see my review of Sound Sleep for my understanding of how this stuff actually works!). It’s difficult to describe this powerful compilation in words, since the experience it helps induce is, at times, beyond them. The soothing melodies and distant ocean waves that dominate the first parts of the album relax your mind musically, while the rest of the CD seems to psychologically induce and maintain a state of deep relaxation. It literally taps into the way our human minds work, and the results have been amazing for me. Deep Waters has been an extremely beneficial adjunct to my meditative practice. Not only that, but it is also an easy way to kill stress and quiet your mind anytime you can sit down for a few minutes and lose yourself in the sound. Highly recommended. 10/10.

Dave Fisher's Deep Waters is like sitting in a warm mountain stream, sunshine beaming into my heart and soul, life ever so abundant and perfect. This CD played through a Vibroacustic Massage table elevates me a higher level being and awareness. The perfect present moment gift to myself.

With deep gratitude...
I sat [meditation] 6-6:45 and soon had a terrible headache. Went to lie down and listen to Dave Fisher’s "Deep Waters." It’s amazing—profoundly healing just giving yourself over to the deep silence, the profound compassion, of this sound. It’s like Dave’s deep kindness, of which he is such an amazing vehicle, made into sound. Voiceless. Wordless. [I soon fell asleep, and woke up without headache any more]
Other notes on my experience of this cd.
I have to admit that I was somewhat skeptical when I took Deep Waters home after a massage appointment with Dave Fisher. Not that I doubt Dave’s skill at putting together healing sound, but I couldn’t imagine how the music itself would have much positive effect without the table, room, and therapeutic touch that come with Dave’s presence.
But I have been most pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoy this music—I have found it a profoundly healing tool. Put bluntly, it feels great to listen to it. Put on headphones, and it’s like the sound just cuts through,-- stills--- that rag rag rag clatter of fears and should-be-doings, irritations, worries, etc, stressful thought stream, in one’s mind. I find it instantly stilling, like entering another world, or a dark vast cavernous church, in the presence of some great mystery, which is you, and your true home.
Since I’ve had the cd I use fewer herbal relaxants or sleep aides. The sound is the medicine—no need to ingest chemicals. This is so overdue—I once heard a Cayuga Indian flute player who told us, To listen to the songs of birds, that’s medicine. Due to financial considerations I can’t come in often for an actual massage, but I’m finding that sound is an excellent surrogate. I often fall asleep listening to Deep Waters, or at least dissipate into a light, twilight state-- and that is a good effect.

Love it!
This is very inspiring music. It puts me in a state of mind that is relaxing and calming. The music itself takes me to another place. I go to the ocean, the sand and sun. I love the water sounds!

Really amazing...
When listening, I felt electric sensations in my neck... really amazing… they got even stronger during the bells. It's very easy to lose myself in the bells!
